Personal best 289 for Beth Hedley at Herts trials

Beth Hedley notched up another personal best at last weeks Hertfordshore trials at Go Bowling, Dunstable with a 10 strike opening sequence and 289 high game.

Beaten only by world champion Kirsten Penny in the trials, Beth scored well, dropping only 150 pins over the six game session to KP.

Beth’s second game 289 even put her in the lead after 3 games until Kirsten found her line, finishing with a 268, 215, 233 series to win the event.

The perfect game continues to elude her but, with regular coaching by Kirsten’s Dad, Northern Europe’s only USBC gold-level coach, Andy Penny and by Watford YBC’s own John Akers, 14 year old Beth looks set to achieve her first 300 game soon.
