Watford Triumph at Raynes Park Diamond Fours Tuesday, February 24th 2009

Watford YBC took 1st and 2nd place at the 2009 Raynes Park YBC Diamond Fours tournament last weekend.
Watford Penguins (Beth Hedley, Adam Maxwell, Charlotte Taylor and Austin Taylor) lead the field of 25 teams with a 24 game total of 3888 (Av 162) followed closely by Watford Seals (Matthew Brooks, Laura O’Brien, Lee Glide and Amy Maxwell) in 2nd place with a 24 game total of 3846 (Av 160).
Watford Penguins
All players performed above their tournament averages with personal best achievements by 11 year old Amy Maxwell with her first and second 5 baggers, a new high score of 204 and a 500+ series. 13 year old Adam Maxwell earned his 525 series badge and 7 year old Austin Taylor scored his best tournament game of 198. 14 year old Bethany Hedley was the tournament top scorer with a 6 game total of 1176 (Av 196).
Watford Seals
The unique scratch event comprises teams of 4 players of different ages according to a formula based on age divisions.
